One of the Oak Harbor fire departments conducted an "open house" for families in the community. The kids had a blast exploring all the different emergency vehicles and listening to the firemen.

Check me out, I'm a fireman!!!

Look at me mom!

Give me a turn at the wheel!

Goofing around in the ambulance.

Brent had half a day off on Columbus Day (after working all weekend) so we decided to take advantage of his free time and some sunny weather (after raining all week) and visit a local pumpkin patch. This is one of the things I always look forward to each fall.

Abby is our homeschooled first grader who is turning into such a sweet, caring, and loving little girl. I feel so blessed to have her at home with me and I get the priviledge of being her teacher. The day before this picture is taken, she lost her front, top tooth.

Caleb is still our super-sized yet sweet four-year old. He found an ear of corn in the pumpkin patch and held on to it until we got home. Right now he loves pre-school and playing with his siblings.

I can't believe what a big boy Evan is now. Today he had his first swim lessons and did great!

Our own little pumpkins!

Getting ready to load up the car with our pumpkins and corn.
